K2 Skates:
In 1994 K2 revolutionized the skate industry by introducing the first-ever Softboot inline skates. This patented K2 technology provided skaters with the precision and accuracy of a hardshell boot, but in a new, comfortable and lighter weight Softboot design.

The sport instantly became more enjoyable and easier because of this innovation, and it changed in line skating forever. . Fifteen years later, this Softboot design is still the foundation of K2’s entire line.

While K2 has continued to enhance the fit and function over the years, the basis of “Softboot” performance and comfort still rings true. Many companies have followed K2’s direction, and today, the original Softboot Technology still remains the design standard by which all other manufacturers measure themselves.

Often imitated, but never duplicated, K2 is the Original Softboot that has, and will continue to push the envelope of in line skate innovation.

Bont Wheels:
In the 1990's Bont built up a strong partnership with Tom Peterson, founder of Hyper Wheels. Hyper sold Bont/Hyper branded Bont Boots like the Blue Bottom and Bont distributed Hyper Wheels. After doing the same thing for many years, Tom sold Hyper and took his best chemist with him and together they formed Robot Inc. They specialized in urethane parts for companies such as Oakley Sunglasses.

In 2002, Alexander Bont approached Tom with the idea of creating a new Bont wheel. Tom wasn't making any other inline wheels at the time. Most of the wheels on the market at the time had been based on Hypers' Bankrobber wheel which was designed to perform at 78A durometer. Skaters were demanding harder and faster wheels and we decided to create a new formula for 85A rather than keep modifying the old formula.

The result was the Generation 1 Invasion wheel. Over the years we have kept perfecting the formula and the current Generation 4 formula is the highest rebounding, longest lasting urethane formula on the market today.

Our goal is to create the best wheel for each surface. We are determined to have the best wheel solution for each application.

eZeefit Sports:
It all started with...
New speedskating boots, my first marathon and some really trashed feet !

I wrapped my feet with sport tape and hoped for the best but...

my feet sweat, so the tape slipped and I got massive sores and blisters, yikes!

This is not the way I envisioned this sport to go so after trying moleskin and all of the commercial blisterpads with no real relief, I started cutting foam neoprene and elastic and sewed my first version of the Ankle Bootie.

After many designs, I came up with the current style. After wearing them to a few group skates, other skaters wanted to know where I got them and then, if I could make some to sell. After three years of making a few for friends and everyone they encountered, I decided to go into production with three thicknesses to suit different fit issues.

My girlfriend, who shows her horse, wanted to try them in her tall equestrian boots. She found the 3mm helped in keeping her heels down.

After a request for a solution to cold feet in longtrack ice training I designed the easy off and on insulated ice boot cover that will be available in the 2005 winter season.

Then several skaters asked for a rain and wind resistant cover. After a rainy 2004 Athens to Atlanta, Kim Perkins gave them a thumbs up for saving her brand new Bont boots. Barry Publow wore them to his victory in the 2005 US National Marathon Championships.
